Massachusetts Avenue & The Boardwalk.  What fond memories!  That was the address of Beach Front Gardens, the motel where my family stayed during summer vacations at the shore. Long gone, that location is now the home of the recently closed Revel Hotel and Casino.  What a grand structure!  It has 1,399 ocean view rooms and is 47 stories tall.  The architecture is a delight to photograph.  I could have stayed there all day finding new angles and patterns, however, the sea was calling to me…………

Being by the sea is peaceful and calming.  I can sit and listen to the sounds of the waves and the gulls all day long and block out the rest of the world completely.  The sea mesmerizes me!  On this past Saturday, the gulls were playfully running first toward and then away from the waves as they came ashore….looking for morsels to nibble on in the foam and sand.

It was a perfect summer weekend …. in the Fall.  An open the sunroof and sing with the radio kind of weekend!  What better adventure than to take a trip to the beach, right?  I spent Saturday in Atlantic City enjoying the sun, sand and surf …. oh, and a LOT of photography!  I even found some beautiful seashells on the beach where I used to spend my summer vacations as a child.  I filled my pockets and came home with not only a wet, sandy pocket, but great memories of a day at at the shore!

Dogs are miracles with paws!  From the tip of their cold wet noses to their furry tails, they are filled with an unmatched zest for life!

Yesterday morning I peeked through the curtain as the sun was coming up and found that there were visitors in my garden.  The deer were having an early breakfast and nibbling on my plants.  I love that I have an opportunity to see wildlife right in my own backyard!  What a perfect way to start the day!  Can you spot the THREE deer in this image?
