After the weekend snowstorm, the trees were glistening in the early morning light on Sunday. Some were drenched in heavy wet snow and others were already bare. I loved looking up at the tree patterns against the blue sky. It’s hard to believe that just a few days ago the world looked like a winter wonderland and today it was nearly 60 degrees outside. Things are looking up – at least for the time being – and hopefully those who are still without power will have it restored very soon!
{This image was shot with my Canon 18-55mm lens, a fish-eye attachment, and then a texture layer was applied in post-processing.]

I shot this image of fallen leaves over the weekend. Do you think it’s an image of leaves on the ground or leaves in the water? This is one of those images that would make a fun (and difficult!) jigsaw puzzle!

Wow – it’s been a LONG time since I’ve done a “swipe” like this. I was in my yard yesterday taking photos of my brand new roof [thank you hail storm and insurance company!] and noticed some nice color on the mountain behind the house. I only took a few steps from the back patio in order to capture this scene of the colored leaves and tree trunks in the woods. This was shot at ISO 400, f/32 and 0.3 second handheld and moving the camera vertically while the shutter was open.

Did I happen to mention that I love photographing old cars? I really really do! Imagine seeing a car that looked like this one coming down the highway? How could you miss it, right? I love to admire the old cars from the 1920’s, 30’s, 40’s, 50’s etc. They had so much character and unique design elements with great eye-catching colors! What kinds of cars do you think we’ll see at car shows 75 years from now? Certainly not my Toyota Corolla! 🙂

The American Spaniel Club Flushing Spaniel Show was held at the Valley Forge Convention Center. Attached to the conference center is a tall hotel that is round. I’ve always thought it was a very interesting building and you can spot it from the expressway as you drive around the area. I really wanted to take some time to photograph the building over the weekend, but it was just too darn cold. The wind was blowing like crazy as I left the dog show at around 4:00 PM. It would have been fun to photograph with the warm colors of the afternoon sky reflecting in the windows. I only managed to take a couple of shots before hurrying to the car and turning the heater on high! I wonder if all of the Spaniels were staying in the hotel? I can picture them all running through the circular hallways! How fun!
