The bald eagle – a symbol of America’s freedom. I get goosebumps whenever I see one! Conowingo Dam has become a favorite place to visit and see bald eagles – lots of them! I’m just a rookie at photographing these majestic birds, but I’m having fun learning the best spots to set up, times of day, lighting, etc. to try and improve my photos. On this day, one of the eagles flew in from across the river and landed in a tree right near where I was standing! Favorite moment of the day!

New to Animal Adventure Park this year is the African lion exhibit featuring two Timbavati white lions named Solomon and Ntsumi and a female lion named Bisa. They are amazing!

Photographing the Patas monkeys at Animal Adventure Park in Harpursville, NY was SO much fun! There were several babies and they were very active and playful. Here’s one munching on a grape.

She’s our Seal Point diva and princess of her kingdom. The boys love and fear her at the same time because she obviously rules the roost that we all call home. One minute she will be kissing Gabriel’s head and the next swatting him for no apparent reason other than “Mom, he looked at me!” She loves to snuggle on the couch to watch TV, dines on the kitchen counter so the boys don’t steal her food, and loves ear scratches. Her favorite spots to nap are on the windowsill during the day and the bottom of the bed at night. She is overflowing with “cattitude” and we adore her!
