A kiss for the PBGV (Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen) after the Owner-Handler Group judging at the Lehigh Valley Kennel Club show on Saturday.  I just love this spunky breed!

I did a wonderful lifestyle pet photography session this weekend with Bulldog puppy, Ruby, and her new mom and dad!  This is the sweetest puppy ever!  She seemed to really enjoy her photo session and was so well behaved.  We made it fun for her and she received tons of hugs and kisses throughout!  We took photos at home and at a beautiful park in the early morning when it was still cool and comfortable.  Stay tuned for more adorable photos of Princess Ruby!

If it weren’t for Gabriel and his 5:30 AM antics, you wouldn’t be looking at this photo right now.  Cats are known to sleep 18 hours a day – the other 6 hours (often in the middle of the night at our house!) are for playing.  On Saturday morning at 5:30, Gabriel thought it a fun idea to pull the curtain rod off the window frame, nails and all.  So, after hearing the crash at that ridiculous hour, I found myself searching in the carpet for the nails and then hammering the rod back in place.  As long as I was up and the sun was about to rise, I decided to head down to the Lake and see if there were any photo opportunities.  Getting out at sunrise is a rarity for me, so I was pleased to come home with a few images that made it worth the trip.  I love this scene of the early morning fishermen with their lines in the water waiting for the catch of the day.

I had the privilege of visiting the Vietnam Veterans “Moving Wall” Memorial over the weekend.  The Moving Wall is a half-sized replica of the Memorial in Washington, DC that honors the men and women who lost their lives in the Vietnam War and it has been touring the country for more than 30 years.  Seeing the wall was a very sad and reflective experience.  I watched as visitors searched for the names of their loved ones and placed photos and flowers nearby.  Parents explained the meaning of the memorial to their children and dedicated volunteers worked to ensure that each panel of names was kept clean.  I took a few photos, but felt very wrong in doing so at such a reverent place.
