Month: April 2010

I only managed one quick photo of this little girl walking through the arched doorway at Lockridge Furnace.    She was all dressed in pink and her parents were photographing her in different locations around the park.  Spring is particularly busy at Lockridge, especially now when the bluebells cover the ground with a blanket of purple.   It’s a great place for photographing kids and pets surrounded by flowers!  This image was taken with the Lensbaby Composer and soft focus optic.  Post-processing was done with Topaz Adjust and Photoshop.

I’m not sure if this little guy is covering his nose because something smells icky or if he’s giggling or crying.  You decide!

This image was taken a couple years ago at Quiet Valley Living History Farm in the Poconos in Pennsylvania.  It’s a 3-shot HDR image taken with my Canon 135mm soft focus lens.  I wasn’t sure how HDR would work with soft focus images, but I really like the result.

At least it’s a different tulip…pink instead of peach!  I like the striations created by the leaves in the background of this shot.  It was created with the Lensbaby Composer and soft focus optic … love this lens for macro flower photography!  🙂

Wishing everyone a very Happy Easter!
