Okay…stop drinking Iced Tea and fooling around with your cell phone and put me DOWN already!

I shot this image of fallen leaves over the weekend.  Do you think it’s an image of leaves on the ground or leaves in the water?  This is one of those images that would make a fun (and difficult!) jigsaw puzzle!

Cupid is one of my very favorite dogs to watch in the show ring!  He’s a happy-go-lucky Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen whose tail is always wagging!   When he moves around the ring you can tell that he is loving every second of being there.  In this image he is getting some last minute grooming from his handler, Greg Strong.  This is one of the rare times when he isn’t “smiling” with his big old tongue hanging out!  🙂  Such a sweet dog!

I was looking to photograph the reds, yellows and oranges of Fall and found this adorable little kitten who blended in perfectly!  He/she was scampering around the wooden porch and really stood out in the late afternoon sun.  The kitten’s mom was very close by watching me intently to make sure that I didn’t harm her little one.  I enjoyed watching them play together…how can you not love a kitten?

This weekend I spent some time out & about in search of Fall color to photograph.  We had very heavy rain Friday and high winds Saturday, both of which helped to change the landscape dramatically. There were splashes of yellow, red and orange leaves mixed with trees that were completely leaf-less.  In some areas, the trees are still green.  Normally this is the peak weekend in my neck of the woods, but things were a bit disappointing.  Regardless, I made the best of what nature presented and came away with some images that I like.  This image was taken at about 5:30 PM on Saturday when the sun was splashing off of the yellow trees.  They were very bright and I decided to tone them down with a texture overlay just to change the mood a bit.  In this particular location the trees closest to the water had the most color whereas the trees on top of the mountain were still mostly green.
