Month: April 2012

“So there I was, napping on the sofa, and I when I woke up, I was wearing bunny ears!!!  Bunny ears?  Are you kidding me???  How humiliating!  Just snap the photo already so I can go back to sleep!  Oh, and can we please remove the ears?”

Four year old Australian Shepherd Reckon, {GCH Propwash Reckon} was Herding Group 1st at the Delaware County Kennel Club show in York, Pa. last month.  Notice on the inset photo of Reckon moving in the ring that his right front and back paws match those of the handler in position.  They are definitely in sync!

Wishing everyone a Happy Easter and Passover!
A visit to the garden center today resulted in some new tulips for my garden.  It was very windy and so I didn’t have much opportunity to photograph them, but here’s a favorite image from my brief session with the macro lens.  All of my favorite colors are in this image – lavender, pink, peach, & teal.

“Sunglasses…check   –   visor…check   –   swimsuit…check   –   floaty…check!
I think I’m ready for a pool party!”

The future of dog showing lies with the Junior Handlers.  Junior handlers may be between the ages of 9 and 18 years of age.  I watched part of the Junior Showmanship class at the Delaware County Kennel Club in York, Pa. last month and it was great to see so many young people truly interested in dog showing!  They are so professional – even at such young ages – and were having a great time with their dogs!
