Can anyone say “Spa Day”?  A walk around the grooming area at any dog show often results in some great photo ops!  This image is from the Bald Eagle Kennel Club show in Bloomsburg, Pa. last weekend!

I am a huge fan of contrasting textures in photography.  For example, this old weathered barn with the chipped and faded paint vs. the soft delicate orange lilies that are growing beside it.  I see so many of these orange flowers as I’m driving around the countryside in the summer.  I’m told that some grow wild and those are called Tiger Lilies or Ditch Lilies.  The ones that we buy at the garden center are typically Daylilies.  Daylilies bloom for just a day and are pretty much carefree in the garden. I was happy to have these orange lilies add a punch of color to this distressed barn.

Here’s Sussex Spaniel “Kamand’s Full Of Beans@ Erinhill” at the Bald Eagle Kennel Club show in Bloomsburg, Pa. over the weekend.  The Sussex is high on my list of favorite breeds that I would love to own.  How could anyone resist this face?

I fell in love with this photo of David Fitzpatrick and General Tso (Grand Ch. Pequest General Tso) as soon as I downloaded it from my memory card.  I don’t have an opportunity to see this dynamic duo in the show ring very often, but when I do, I take a ton of photos!  It’s always a treat to have a chance to visit with them!  (Image from the Bald Eagle Kennel Club show in Bloomsburg, Pa.)

I loved watching the competition in the Cocker Spaniel ring this weekend at the Bald Eagle Kennel Club show in Bloomsburg, Pa.  Cockers are one of my favorite breeds.  In fact, the only dog that ever owned me was a black and tan Cocker Spaniel named Perky!  She was the best!
