I adore the Clumber Spaniel!  How can you resist this sweet face, floppy ears, and cotton swab of a tail?  Watching them romp around a show ring is pure joy for me!

I must say that I was feeling a little rusty yesterday at the dog show.  It’s been 4 months since I last photographed a show and I was certainly happy to be ringside with my camera again.  I loved visiting with friends – both dog and human – and I came home with some new images that I love!  Here’s a photo from the junior handler ring…a kiss for the winner!

After a long day at the cat show, this little guy is taking a well deserved rest.  Thank you Karousel Kats Cat Club for putting on a fun show this past weekend in Reading, Pa.!  Since there were many spectators (include a lot of children with questions galore!), the judges did an outstanding job of displaying the cats and talking about the breeds.  I have some favorite images to post, so the rest of this week is hereby declared ‘cat week’ on the blog!  Enjoy!

The snow goose migration through Middle Creek Wildlife Management System is winding down.  I think the highest count for a day was around 85,000 snow geese about 2 weeks ago and the latest post on the park website shows the count at just 5,000.  The geese are on their way North and those of us who experienced their visit are left with photos and memories to tide us over until next year.
