Daffodils symbolize rebirth and new beginnings.  They herald in the Spring season with a blast of color that transforms even the most dreary landscape!  It’s been a long wait, but they are finally here!  I have several varieties and am waiting to see if my pink and white ones make an appearance!  Time will tell….

Spring has been a long time coming.  I couldn’t wait to see flowers again in my garden.  Finally the earth is coming back to life!  Every evening after work I take a stroll through the garden to see what is new since the day before.  Today my daffodils are fully open and my tulips and hyacinth bulbs are well on their way.  Ah, Spring…..my favorite time of year!

More Lensbaby fun with the Frizzle Sizzle Pansie from the weekend.  The combination of the soft focus rings and my very old Lensbaby 3G (which they probably don’t even offer any longer!) creates one of my favorite looks for flower photography.

I think…I think…I think…SPRING has sprung!!  The garden center had baskets of “Frizzle Sizzle” Pansies and so I had to bring them home to hang on the porch.  They don’t mind cool temperatures and are a splash of color which reminds me that more flowers are on the way!  Here’s a Lensbaby photo from the weekend!  I love the ruffled edges of the petals!

When I looked at these bare trees in the midst of what seems like the longest winter ever, the word that came to mind was “craggy”.  To me it means rough and disheveled looking, but thought I’d search an online dictionary to be sure.  Merriam-Webster’s first definition was “having many crags”.  Well, that doesn’t help much …. what is a crag?  The second definition hit the nail on the head….”rough in a way that suggests strength”.  Yep, that’s what I was going for!
