I just finished downloading the last of my dock dog photos from the weekend.  Gosh, there are LOTS – over 1500!  Which to post?!  I’ll pick the ones that grab my attention first, like this one.  It’s all about the tennis ball!

I spent the weekend photographing the Keystone Dock Dogs at Steel Stacks in Bethlehem, Pa.  What a fun time for all, but most especially for the dogs who obviously LOVE dock diving!  I will share some favorite images and stories to go along with them.  I’m a novice at dock dog photography and I still struggle with focus and keeping up with these fast moving dogs!  Most of my “splash” images are all water and no dog, but this one I just love!  The pup just landed in the pool and is still focused on trying to catch the ball!  Pure drive and determination!  Oh and those ears!!!!

I could see the Iris’ in the garden through the living room window and thought about a composition that would include the open flowers as well as the buds.  This was the result – photographed with the Lensbaby Velvet 56.

I was photographing Iris’ in my garden and didn’t notice this little guy who was intent on watching me work.  My, what big eyes you have!  I’m not a big fan of insects, but this one is kind of cute!  (Lensbaby Velvet 56)

Recently my Lensbaby Velvet 56 was focused on the soft curvy petals of a Gerbera Daisy.  I think I have given it too much water as the flowers are really droopy.  I need to let it dry out a bit before watering it again.  I will admit that I don’t have a very green thumb!
