….to post a non-dog/cat image!  Since Spring has sprung, I thought a trip to the garden center was in order.  Somehow I can’t get through the season without adding some new tulip, daffodil or hyacinth bulbs to my collection.  I noticed that the bulbs I planted in the Fall have magically disappeared and there are now holes in the ground where they used to be, thanks most likely to the squirrels who have relocated them for me!  This image was shot with the Lensbaby 3G plus a macro lens.  I’m a huge Lensbaby fan as it lends a softness to the image in all areas surrounding the sweet spot which in this case is the lower part of the tulip on the left.
Spring is definately a photographer’s best friend!

Easter 2013_small2

Brewster and Savannah had their first official holiday photo shoot today!  It was an adventure to say the least!  Brewster was more interested in batting the plastic eggs around the living room than having his photo taken with them.  Savannah was pretty laid back and gave all of the stuffed bunnies kisses.  Their attention span was pretty short so this was a really quick session.  Happy Easter from me and my furry family!

This is Ginger, “GCH Sandscape Pardon Me Boys”, the number one Field Spaniel in the country!  I remember admiring her while watching Westminster this year and so I was excited to see her in person at the Bronx County Kennel Club Show in Edison, NJ last weekend.  Ginger was Sporting Group 1 at Edison and she is beautiful!  I’m a huge Spaniel fan so she will be one of my favorites to watch this year!  Go Ginger!

Love, love, love this image of the Irish and Irish Red & White Setters at the Bronx County Kennel Club show in Edison, NJ last weekend!  The Irish Red & White is not just a different colored version of the Irish Setter.  These are two distinct breeds.  Both beautiful and very elegant in the ring!

The New Brunswick Kennel Club Show in Edison, NJ on March 23, 2013 was dedicated to the memory of Colored Bull Terrier “Ch. Rocky Top’s Sundance Kid” – Rufus – who won Best in Show at Westminster in 2006 and was an exceptional therapy dog and ambassador for bully breeds.  Rufus passed away in August 2012.  Owners Tom and Barb Bishop were on hand for the weekend along with Rufus’ grandson, Jefferson, who I photographed snuggling with dad during the show on Sunday.  It was wonderful to see so many bull terriers and especially fun to visit with Tom, Barb and Jefferson!
