When I look at this image, I can smell the wonderfully fragrant lavender plants that filled the farm. Imagine opening your windows on a summer morning and welcoming in that wonderful scent! I’ve added 3 lavender plants to my garden and…with any luck…maybe I can do exactly that!

A nice little still life scene that I found in Bucks County, Pa. It reminded me of a potting shed – a place for gathering plants, soil, fertilizer, and tools to be used in the garden. I tend to do my potting in the driveway or garage…and usually end up with a mess to clean up!

I’ve been seeing these babies around the community for several weeks. Finally mom brought them to our house. She was likely getting them acquainted with the path to our garden where they can dine on shrubs and flowers in the summer and bird seed in the winter! While mom was busy in the woods, the two little ones were investigating the garden. Aren’t they adorable?!
