Today’s post is a little break from the doggie world.  Here’s an image of some pretty glassware that I thought was an interesting scene from a recent shopping excursion.  Processing included PhotoShop, Topaz and a texture layer.

This afternoon I spent a little while photographing the flowers in my garden.  My most favorite, Honeysuckle, is in bloom and the fragrance in the garden is delightful!  With the mild winter and lots of rain we’ve had this spring, my flowers are blooming better than ever!  The Honeysuckle is starting to fade, so I wanted to snap a few images before it is too late.  When I came back in the house, I turned on the computer and visited some of my favorite blogs.  I found a beautiful post by my friend, Sam Gray, featuring a Honeysuckle.  Check out his post here and be sure to visit his photo blog often – his work is amazing:  http://designbysamgray.com/blog/2012/06/09/sweet-smelling-honeysuckle/
Below are some more images of “What’s In Bloom” currently in my garden:  Clematis, Daisy and Spirea.

Every time I drive on this one particular road, to this one particular store, I pass these old trucks parked in a dirt lot by a barn.  Over the weekend I was headed in that direction and decided it was high time that I stopped and snapped a photo or two.  Worried that I was tresspassing [which I’m sure I was!], I didn’t stay long and only took a few shots, but am happy with this one of a rusty old Ford.  I’ll get back to dog photos tomorrow, but I just wanted to share this example of another type of photography that I love in addition to photographing pets!  Old rusty things are a favorite!

As we celebrate this Memorial Day, remember that today is not about barbecues and fireworks.  The day is meant for honoring all of the men and women who have fought and continue to fight for our freedom.  My dad was a Marine during World War II and I will never ever forget the stories that he told me about the tragedy he witnessed and the pain and suffering he endured to help keep America free.  God bless all who serve our country!

Wowza – what a fun place to photograph…..Steel Stacks in Bethlehem, Pa.  This was my first visit and since I love old grungy things, this was a dream location.  For the next little while I’ll mix in some Steel Stacks images along with the dogs and cats….stay tuned for more!
